Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School History

History was made by 1,150 students in 1965. Fieldale-Collinsville High School opened in 1965, drawing its student body from among four rival Henry County high schools.  The Class of 1966, were the first 140 students to end their high school careers as Cavaliers.  For Fieldale-Collinsville High School students in 1965-66, highlights included "playing sports and cruising around Ayer's and Jan's (drive-in restaurants)."

The Cavalier, who has served as the school's mascot since it opened in 1965, fittingly received the last diploma of the last graduating class of Fieldale-Collinsville High School.  Fieldale-Collinsville High School became Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School in the fall of 2004.

"History is a relentless master. It has no present, only the past rushing into the future. To try to hold fast is to be swept aside."-- John F. Kennedy
